Mrs. E. Sherwood, widow of the late Seelye Sherwood, of Oxford, died at 1:15 a.m. Dec 6, at the Bliss Convalescent Home, following an illness of several months. She was 85 years of age and had lived in Oxford area all her life. A daughter of Orsamus and Clarissa B. Beardslee, she was born in Independence township, March 4, 1866. She was a member of the Oxford Methodist Church and Martha Palmer Circle. Surviving are twin daughters and one son, Mrs. Ada Baldwin, Mrs. Addie Allen and Glen Sherwood, all of Oxford; eight grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. from the Oxford Methodist church. Rev. Alfred Eddy, offciating and burial was held in the Oxford Cemetery.
